TART, a type of baked sweet or savory dish, consists of a thin layer of dough at the bottom and the sides, filled with various fillings. The most famous tarts are sweet and are usually prepared with fruit, cream, or various nut fillings. Today we bring you a recipe for a dessert that contains juicy blueberries and crispy dough, which wins over the palate and hearts of dessert lovers. You can also make it with other, even seasonal fruit.

Ingredients:

For the crust:
– 115 g cold butter
– 120 g soft flour
– flat teaspoon of baking powder
– a pinch of salt
– 2 teaspoons of sugar
– grated lemon zest
– a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar

For the filling:
– 600 g blueberries
– 120 g sugar
– 2 tablespoons of flour
– 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon

Preparation of blueberry tart:

Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, and finely grated lemon zest. Add butter and mix it with the flour using a mixer or hands to get a crumbly dough. Then add vinegar and mix everything well until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Roll out the dough with your hands on a mold previously greased with butter.

In a deeper bowl, mix sugar, flour, and cinnamon, then add 400 g of blueberries and mix everything with a spoon. Slightly crush the blueberries to release the juice, mix everything well, and pour over the dough. Place the tart in the oven, preheated to 190 degrees, for about 35 minutes.

When the tart is done, take it out, sprinkle the remaining (200 g) fresh blueberries while it’s still hot, and let it cool completely before serving.
