Folk singer Darko Filipović has recently found himself in the center of a scandal after his wife Jasmina allegedly cheated on him with his friend, leading to a divorce after 12 years of marriage.
Many public figures from the music industry complained for months during the pandemic that they had no performances and were not earning any money. However, at that time, domestic media reported that singer Darko Filipović decided to invest in real estate in Greece and bought two apartments near Thessaloniki, which he rents out to secure a good life for himself.
„I have a friend who already has real estate there, more precisely several apartments. He told me that it is the right time to invest in real estate there, as prices will go up in a few years. At that time, four years ago, the region had the lowest value per square meter and real estate in history. I had some savings and thought that the price will never go below this, it can only go up,“ said Darko at the time.
Darko also mentioned that he acquired two apartments in Perea, a place near Thessaloniki by the sea, one for himself and one rented out to tourists through an agency he connected with.
His colleague Nemanja Nikolić commented on the news that Darko bought two apartments and took the opportunity to tease him.

We also had some savings, but everything dried up, and life in Belgrade is expensive, we have expenses, children, we need to eat, and when that dries up, it can be dangerous. He never bought us coffee when we were earning a lot of money and were the most popular. He turned one dinar into three, that’s art, and we should envy him.
