Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has confirmed today that they will be taking legal action against a passenger who disrupted a flight between Dublin and the Spanish island of Lanzarote last year with his „unforgivable behavior“ and will be seeking compensation of 15,000 euros from him.

According to the company, due to the „completely unacceptable“ behavior of the passenger, the plane was diverted to the Portuguese city of Porto and only continued the flight to the desired destination the next day, causing 160 passengers to lose a whole day of rest and face unnecessary problems, as reported by the Irish Times.

The sum of 15,000 euros represents compensation for the costs of the unwanted landing and overnight stay, as well as for passenger expenses.
