Sandro Tonali, vezist Newcastlea, pod istragom zbog kršenja pravila o klađenju
Sandro Tonali seems unable to stay away from gambling – the Newcastle midfielder is now under scrutiny by the English Football Association (FA) for violating gambling regulations.
The Italian is already serving a 10-month suspension imposed by the Italian Football Association for betting during his time playing for Milan.
Tonali is now suspected of betting even after moving to the island. The midfielder allegedly broke the rule 50 times between August 12 and October 12, 2023.
Tonali has until April 5 to respond to the allegations.
„We have received confirmation that an investigation has been launched. The club and Tonali will cooperate fully. That is all we can say at this time,“ Newcastle said in a statement.
Tonali arrived at St. James’ Park in July last year in a transfer worth £60 million.
