Savez ekonomista Srbije ušao je u najuži izbor za domaćina XXI Svetskog kongresa Međunarodne ekonomske asocijacije (IEA) 2026. godine. Tim povodom, profesor Omar Licandro, član Upravnog odbora IEA, boravio je u dvodnevnoj poseti Beogradu radi detaljnog upoznavanja sa potencijalima za organizaciju ovog prestižnog događaja. Predsednik SES, Aleksandar Vlahović, istaknuo je da je organizacija Svetskog kongresa IEA u Beogradu jedinstvena prilika za povezivanje sa globalnom ekonomskom zajednicom, podsticanje dijaloga, razmenu inovativnih ideja i stvaranje novih partnerstava za oblikovanje budućnosti ekonomije i doprinos globalnom prosperitetu.
The Serbian Economic Association has been shortlisted as the host of the XXI World Congress of the International Economic Association (IEA) in 2026. In light of this, Professor Omar Licandro, a member of the IEA Board of Directors, visited Belgrade for a two-day visit to explore the potential for organizing this prestigious event. The president of the SES, Aleksandar Vlahović, emphasized that hosting the IEA World Congress in Belgrade presents a unique opportunity to connect with the global economic community, foster dialogue, exchange innovative ideas, and create new partnerships to shape the future of the economy and contribute to global prosperity.
