Partizan continue to strengthen their defense, with the latest addition to their team being experienced center-back Marko Kerkez, formerly of Spartak Subotica.
This 24-year-old defender is joining the black and white team to further strengthen the back line, as reported by „Telegraf“.
Kerkez has had a rich career, playing for several clubs both domestically in the Serbian Superliga and abroad. In Serbia, he has worn the jerseys of Kabel, Mladost GAT, and Spartak Subotica, while also representing Hungarian club Dzser and Austrian club Gablitz in youth categories.
Kerkez’s arrival comes after the departure of former captain Svetozar Marković, who joined Viktoria Plzen this summer. Although Partizan recently brought back Mihailo Ilić on loan from Bologna, the club’s officials have decided to further strengthen the defensive line with Kerkez’s arrival in preparation for the upcoming challenges in the Serbian Superliga.
Kerkez’s arrival signals Partizan’s determined fight to return to the race for the championship title after turbulent seasons that are behind them. Interestingly, Marko is the younger brother of Miloš Kerkez, a Hungarian national team player born in Vrbas.

This fall, the stadium in Humka Street will host European football, but unfortunately for Partizan fans, the host will not be the black and white team.
